Despite its remarkably beautiful and seemingly endless curved sweeping beach, Klong Phrao Beach remains a mystery to the most before in the past few years. Klong Phrao Beach is truly a slice of paradise with coconut trees hanging gracefully over gentle shallow waters lapping at the shore.
On the main road, which cuts through the Klong Phrao Beach area is a wide selection of restaurants and shops offering everything you could wish for. The two shopping plazas at the Chai Chet end feature most activities away from the beach.
The beach itself is less crowded and suitable for swimming and water sports. It is common to see people rent a bicycle or take a local bus to Klong Plu Waterfall which is only 3 kilometers from the beach. Although it is much less commercial than White Sand Beach, there are still plenty of activities on offer including snorkeling or diving, fishing and kayaking.
For snorkeling, the underwater visibility on a clear quiet day is around 10 meters. In the evening, local villagers can be seen collecting tiny shrimps or so-called " Khei " to make the shrimp paste, for which Koh Chang is famous.
